Re: (073) Wind and Sand

I think having a look around is worth the slight risk of being spotted. Would Wen agree? It has crossed Highbough's mind that getting himself (but not Wen) captured might not be the end of the world. A valuable prisoner might hope for enough food and drink to sustain life, more than the desert can ...

Re: (073) Wind and Sand

" Do not despair, Young Wen ," Highbough offers as encouragement. " Think how far we have traveled, the journey of a lifetime! Perhaps no other living Elves have seen this alien landscape. Do you know the song about our ancestors who wandered in the desert until they discovered the F...

(Assuming up is north on the map?) "Aye, let's explore the unexplored eastern tunnel outside this room," Urist agrees. "We should clear out any remaining orcs so we can loot in peace."

Re: (073) Wind and Sand

"We seem to be made to suffer," agrees Highbough . "It's our lot in life." The old Elf is sick of trudging through the endless sand dunes and is beginning to feel the disorienting effects of dehydration. He can't take much more! "Your eyes are better than mine, Young Wen .....

Re: 10 - Tor-Xonor the Upper Ruins

"I could try smashing open the chest with my hammer," suggests Urist (foolishly not considering the noise this would make).

Re: (073) Wind and Sand

"Hmm?" grunts Highbough , distracted by the puzzle of how best to hide the ancient mace among his belongings. "Oh, yes, that's the correct answer Wen , I was just testing you. Very good, back the way we came. Don't do anything stupid ; we don't want to attract the attention of scaven...

Re: 10 - Tor-Xonor the Upper Ruins

"You alright, Rhegaer?" asks Urist. "That will leave a scar you can wear with honor! Anyone else hurt? Let's see if this leader has any good loot."

(Urist will search the orcs for treasure, starting with the chieftain.)
