Re: Printed DD adventures selling at GaryCon 2024

Hello Jeff,

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for the update.

I have no connection to or knowledge of what that might have been, but it is always fun to learn that DD is still "out there" in the real world.

If anyone else knows anything about it, please chime in :)

Re: (04) The Cathedral

@Rredmond: Wyrmspear is only inspired by DL, so nobody really needs to know any DL lore to enjoy it. DL is merely a topic of comparison, if one happens to recall it. On the other hand, it is equally valuable ---if not moreso!--- to have a fresh perspective on it all. So, in short: it's great to hav...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

Three harpies could have been a serious combat problem without adequate preparation/protection from their song :) The undead are in the coffin/sarcophagi rooms to either side of the tower base. DL#1 has a bunch of encounters with "Spectral Minions" who are basically spirits of the former ...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

http://download.immersiveink.com/img/cathedral_map_draft.PNG This effectively concludes the cathedral section folks. Let's take a moment to take stock and review how it went. I've posted a draft version of the map so you can get a sense of where you've been. (More maps in this style are currently i...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

Stern and Goldwen zero in on the central figure of the rederos. Goldwen knows intuitively that Stern is onto something and, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, she grasps the two upraised arms and gently presses them downward. They comply. And, when the arms are as near to downward a...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

Bringing the peaceful memory of the Vision to mind, Goldwen recalls almost easily that the Mother doesn't concern herself with such incidental things... but among the other Saints and Almighties there were some who busied themselves with such labours...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

The party fidgets with gold coins in palms, and arraying themselves to either side of the statue, and even attempting (some with more difficulty then others) to supplicate themselves as depicted in the rederos. Nothing seems to have any effect. Goldwen gazes up at the remains of the stained glass w...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

Stern investigates the rederos while Thanis and Garamon continue to avail themselves of the statue... While the latter is unyielding to inquiry, the former is a rich artwork in deep bass relief graven into the rear wall. It depicts half a dozen, almost life-sized figures supplicating themselves res...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

The statues limbs and joints look as seamless as could be. The arms are outstretched with empty hands held openly in a gesture of welcome or gathering the whole. Likewise, the cowled head does not appear to be missing anything, and neither is there any implement or tool lying around the room. Behin...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

Garamon and Stern, between them, heave and ho, and push and pull, and lean into both the statue and the pedestal from every direction with all their (considerable) might. It doesn't appear to budge in the slightest. If it is meant to move at all, there must be a knack to it...
