Re: (082) The Darkness Below

The little man shakes his head in disbelief. "His God failed him in the end, I suppose." Then Wetzel looks about the chamber and points to the entrance from whence they came. "Why don't we pull back to that antechamber and rest, count our spoils, bind our wounds, and do what we can fo...

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Wetzel drags a grimy gauntlet across his forehead, smearing sweat & dirt. He slings his bow & takes up his torch.

"Is it truly dead?" he whispers as he steps forward to peer at the monster.

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Assuming he thinks he can continue to get clear shots at the thing while it's in melee with is comrades, Wetzel keeps up missile fire at the hydra. If the fray is too chaotic to allow firing at the thing's "upper regions", he'll stow his bow, take up his spear, and charge!

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Wetzel drops his torch on the ground just inside the huge chamber, leans his spear against the wall, and unslings his bow. He'll try to stay in the passageway outside the arch, letting any who wish pass him by. He holds his fire until he gets a clear shot at the hag, or until the hydra is released....

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Wetzel's wounds are old and will take more than a breather to heal. He takes back his torch with a nod of thanks and retires to his place in the marching order.

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Unable to stand seeing his comrades face another moment of deadly struggle while he stands by, Wetzel hands his torch off to anyone capable of receiving, or drops it on the ground, then recklessly charges into the fray. He fights entirely defensively, spear in one hand, dagger in the other, but hop...

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Wetzel takes position just inside the doorway & slightly off to one side, to offer light from his torch but not get in the way of those passing through the door.

If engaged, he parries with torch in one hand and spear in the other!
