Wetzel needs no more encouragment than this: seeing that his comrades are eager for the fray, he also moves forward, catching up to and keeping pace with Leudigar, if possible.

Wetzel softly voices his support for the "attack-with-fire" plan, and puts his bow away, preparing spear and shield.

"Perhaps someone lightly armored should sneak ahead a little further and try to get an accurate count of what we're jumping in to?"

Being unsure of how quietly he can move in his new mail armor, Wetzel does not join the scouting party, but stays at the gate and prepares to cover their retreat if necessary.

Wetzel takes a peek now and then at the trap proceedings, but doesn't have anything to contribute. His focus (and his aim) is on the corridor beyond the gate, just in case they raise enough noise to draw attention.

Wetzel crosses the room to the arch, leans his spear & shield against the wall within reach, and readies his bow to shoot through the portcullis, if a likely target should present itself.

He has taken his place somewhere near the front of the column, and has spear and shield in hand.

Wetzel straps his hunting bow to his back again, refastens his Hobgoblin helm, and takes up his spear and shield.

He takes his place in the column as they head down the stair.
