"Good dog!" whispers Wiglaff, happy the pup has survived so long and is still giving them early warnings.

He motions for his Elfs to get ready to missile attack whatever may be in the room to the southwest.

Let's approach slowly as a group? or send a single scout ahead to take a peek?

Wiglaff will take an Elf Senses pass around the east and southern walls, and will instruct his Elf Hirelings to do likewise.

Once that's done yes let's head back to the pit room.

"Come back here!" Willie yells over his shoulder, while readying another volley. After loosing he'll take a look back over his shoulder to see where the NPCs are headed, but he continues the missile fight for now.

Let's check at least a few other papers to see if there's a pattern. After doing that though, Wiglaff suggests we leave the room for now and come back later to further investigate.

Willie slips his hammer into his belt, and pulls out his sling. He's pretty confident a team of Hobbets can take these guys in a missile exchange. (In agreement with plan #2)

Wiglaff and his arches are going to set up at the south-east corner of the room. From there they'll launch a volley of arrows, and then Wiglaff will charge in and join the fray if the lizard is still alive.
