experience points for < 1HD monsters?

The hypertext rules state:
Experience points are also earned by defeating monsters. 100 XP are awarded for each hit die of each enemy defeated.
If the players have defeated, for instance, 8 kobolds (1/2 HD each), how many XP would they be awarded? 400 XP?

Thanks in advance!

Re: (076) Off the Beaten Track

Feeling as if he had just barely closed his eyes, Wetzel starts up and scrabbles for his helm & his spear. He's more than accustomed to sleeping out, but not in dangerous situations like these, and is more than a little groppy. "Where? What?" he mumbles and cries as he tries to orient ...

Re: dungeon speed during chase?

Thank you! The original rules are not absolutely clear on this, but my (personal) take is that dungeon pursuit must be in terms of one-minute combat turns [...] And that makes a lot of sense, too! I was wondering about that 960 ft per ten minutes... Definitely seemed hard to suspend disbelief in tha...

dungeon speed during chase?

First paragraph of Dungeon Exploration chapter states: Exploration is conducted in turns of 10 minute duration with 1" representing 10ft. Thus a movement rate of 12" is reckoned to be 120ft underground with two such moves allowed per turn of cautious progress; [...] If all caution is aband...

Re: (076) Off the Beaten Track

OK, then that is resolved. Something so important as food should be split evenly, when possible, I think. Does anyone disagree? If not, then six people should take one share of the normal food. Did I miscount food? I had a total of 18 days from the packs of fallen allies, plus 6 days from the dead ...

Re: Out Of Character

I think the following is a roughly accurate remaining content of the pile of loot as of my latest post . I removed the enemy coin (assuming ehiker's suggested division ), but didn't do anything with friendly coin (mostly Gertrude's ) nor with food. Friends: torches 3 food 11 chalk 4 candle 6 81sp ba...

Re: (076) Off the Beaten Track

Wetzel helps himself to 3 of the torches (leaving, it seems, 3 in the pile), 3 days worth of food, and a wine skin. He also takes Menno's dagger as extra weaponry. If possible he tags along with Leudigar and Boggs to check out the guard post to get a sense of the place. Speaking out of ear-shot of ...

Re: (076) Off the Beaten Track

After gathering the pile of gear together, Wetzel flops down on the ground again and watches the interrogation of Thick-Neck . He also takes a second look at his own wounds, cleaning them as well as possible. After that, he peers out over the cliff and down over the forest below, looking and listen...

Re: Out Of Character

The combat ran smoothly enough from my point of view. I actually felt that I could have posted fewer times and still got the rosolution I wanted, but chimed in to keep my personal posting momentum going. It is a little tricky to get the hang of finding a way to script upcoming actions without fillin...
