Re: Out Of Character

Somebody said Hinterlands and The Gustave thought they said Disney Land and signed up! What? You mean there is no Minnie? A good start to a guerrilla war would be to sack a goblin stronghold (or two). This might force them to leave Ket alone, or otherwise reallocate some forces. It will certainly p...

Re: Out Of Character

" One thing to think about thou is while there are hundreds of goblins runing around Ket, they're not at home... Sounds like an invitation to me. Perhaps the elves know the location of the greenskins stronghold. Sure to be full of loot, and a useful step toward hamstringing the enemy at the ga...

Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Gustave , voiced in the tongue of Elves, raises a brow at this new, imperious Highbough, but is otherwise nonchalant during his tirade until the mention of "These assembled insignificants", at which he is forced to heartily clear his throat.

Re: Hero Titles

I seem to have missed the boat on this one, but heres my 2cp worth: 'The Gustave' is Gustaves self-imposed title when testy; this is suiting for a name of renown i guess, but 'The Governer' (aka 'The Guv') has a nice ring to it and is more likely to have arisen among the people (rather than those wi...

The Gustave is too busy enjoying his new pipe to notice insinuating glances or contemplate wooden bowls.

Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Dorgan smiles and will take any proffered pipe. "Don't I owe you some gold, my friend? It's been so long, but I'm fairly sure I borrowed some coin back in Ket, during happier times. You oughtta collect now, while I got it on me." " Ha ha! There can be no debts between comrades "...

Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Dorgan scratches his beard (now freshly trimmed and washed!) "Mebbe the Staff can lift the curse on Olaf? I dunno. If not, we can ask the Elves if'n they got a cleric that kin do it. And mebbe we can use that ball ta find the Sisters and see if'n they're still alive?" " And maybe we ...

Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Gustave arises, feeling somewhat more heroic than usual (if this is indeed possible). He attends the burying of Rufus , raising a brow at the New Highbough , and makes sure to stand a little further from the old Elf than usual. Following the eulogy, he wanders the encampment in search of a blacksmi...

Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Gustave shows a keen interest in the longbottom weed and pipe - given the demonstrated lack of his own cigars at present, though he is willing to share. He is otherwise only interested in viewing the 'sights' in the forest and attending meals.

I thought is was most suitably 'gay' (a word that perhaps would have had more tenacity to retain its original meaning were there more elves about).
