Re: The Eighth Adventure

After he realizes the precarious position he is in, he draws back from the chasm and pulls Douglas with him, clamping a hand over his mouth in the process. "Caution will keep you alive down here, Douglas," he says in a whisper. "I've already been part of the way down and have seen som...

Re: The Eighth Adventure

Dougal ends up exchanging much of his loose coin, which results in the following: 1,000gp white diamond 1,000gp emerald 1,000gp sapphire 500gp ruby 177gp 8sp He restocks on large sacks (and suggests everyone else do the same, especially since they are free) and lamp oil, then waits for the others i...

Re: The Eighth Adventure

Last but not least... Do you take this offer? OOC: This is far more generous to the players than the module as-written. Gygax would only offer you 600gp for the chess set. Wilbur is inclined to take this offer, but confers with his comrades first. Dougal nods at Wilbur . "This sounds fair. We'...

"I don't suppose your Aunt could make something for me that would be as light as leather and not make a sound? Either way, you're welcome to join our group."

Re: Out Of Character

I'm perfectly fine with "this is how it's always been".

I like the idea of being able to go explore, above ground. Hobbets prefer the woods over the confined spaces of the underworld...

Re: Out Of Character

Why this change? I love all the Lovecraftian elements. I appreciate you saying that! You've played in several of my campaigns through the years, and watched my DM style evolve. The simple answer is that, for my own mental health, I've been gradually phasing out any R-rated horror elements of my cam...

4. I am retconning all "Lovecraftian" elements of the game. No more Arkham, Cthulhu, Miskatonic River, or Mythos scores.
