Re: (04) The Cathedral

The party fidgets with gold coins in palms, and arraying themselves to either side of the statue, and even attempting (some with more difficulty then others) to supplicate themselves as depicted in the rederos. Nothing seems to have any effect. Goldwen gazes up at the remains of the stained glass w...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

Stern investigates the rederos while Thanis and Garamon continue to avail themselves of the statue... While the latter is unyielding to inquiry, the former is a rich artwork in deep bass relief graven into the rear wall. It depicts half a dozen, almost life-sized figures supplicating themselves res...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

The statues limbs and joints look as seamless as could be. The arms are outstretched with empty hands held openly in a gesture of welcome or gathering the whole. Likewise, the cowled head does not appear to be missing anything, and neither is there any implement or tool lying around the room. Behin...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

Garamon and Stern, between them, heave and ho, and push and pull, and lean into both the statue and the pedestal from every direction with all their (considerable) might. It doesn't appear to budge in the slightest. If it is meant to move at all, there must be a knack to it...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

... completing his purveyance, Flin points out a pair of subtle depressions in the stone floor before the pedestal. He concludes they are tracks, and that--unlikely as it seems---the entire weighty mass of the statue and pedestal is somehow moveable.

Re: (04) The Cathedral

While the others fuss, Goldwen kneels and prays... and in her mind is transported to a far away place, where everything is cool, calm, and Zen ... Goldwen glides through a beautifully maintained garden... scarcely noticing it in the bedazzling yet soft and shifting light... She interacts superficia...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

Thanis steps up to the 10ft tall statue and, somewhat awkwardly, embraces the Goddess in a hug. Being on a pedestal and 10ft tall, Thanis is only about belly-high on her. None the less, the statue remains completely unmoved. Flin takes a look at the stone work. He surmises at a glance that most of ...

Re: (04) The Cathedral

As far as Thanis can tell, the statue looks whole. Nothing looks to be missing or wanting.
