Maloof is in full agreement with Franklin. He first looks upwards to see if the trapdoor at the top is open. He will then search for traps around the base of the ladder. The tunnel continues east for 100 feet past the north branch . It ends at a similar rough ladder/rungs leading up to a trapdoor. A huge pile of thousands of silver pieces is on the floor at the foot of the ladder
