Rufus keeping a look out at the rear calls out , "Come on Guntrum this way, we need you", to Guntrum as he crosses the bridge at the rear. Keeping on eye on Guntrum so he doesn't get stood on...

Olaf is still moving around the inside of the moat trying to enter via "the hole" in the back. Hopefully, the others follow. When he gets to the hole, he'll look inside and if he doesn't get attacked immediately, he'll go through into the building.

Ulric stays close behind Olaf in search of this hole in the wall, but then hears Guntram call out for help.

"Olaf, wait..." he says pausing for a moment. "Rufus, Torben can you see to Guntram? If there is trouble, take him in through the main door of the abbey. Armando, come with us around the back."

Ulric then continues on with Olaf.

OOC: Just Ulric making suggestions. Please feel free to do as you wish. I don't want to split up too much but I also don't want Guntram to be dog chow. Of course, Guntram may not be able to call for help.

Very well.

Giant Guntram feels his head swimming for a moment -- as though he's being sucked down into a whirlpool of drowsiness... and then knows no more.

Rufus turns back to sees Giant Guntram looking a bit wobbley on his feet for a moment before he suddenly shrinks back down to size and disappears from sight... perhaps he's fallen over?

Meanwhile, the others skirt the narrow "ledge" of earth on the inside of the tar moat -- which in places in no more than 1ft wide and precariously sloped into the hissing, blooping tar. But soon enough they round to the "back" of abbey, where the tall walls are mostly filled by high, arched windows that once contained glorious stained glass windows. Now these are all smashed, leaving a number of gaping holes from chest height on the wall and up...

Olaf peers in to see a ruinous interior with a huge tar crater bubbling in the central floor. The original alter is just 10ft inside the building from his position... now utterly blackened and defiled. At the far end of the abbey, across the crater, he spots Gustave. There does not appear to be anyone else within...

Ulric finds his own broken window to look in through. He carefully examines the frame to make sure that no glass remains.

"Can you crawl up and over in your armor?" he asks Olaf. "I'd hate to skirt that moat again."

If all seems safe and he is able, Ulric will hoist himself up and through the empty window and into the abbey.

"Well, I'm going to try." Olaf says as he tries to crawl through the broken window into the chapel beyond.

Once inside, Olaf will look around and say, "So, where did they go? And where's the old elf?"
