OOC: err...not quite what was intended. The Gustave intends to do all possible to avoid said demon, and proposes to backtrack to the entrance to the abbey where the group split origially (taking cues here from team 2 where required, having not been this way himself), thence to take the path which he travelled previously with team 1, and finally following the 'new road' fashioned by Giatn Guntrum to the courtyard. Gustave's notion seems to be to backtrack out the library door, through the (now opened) runic double door that lead into the abbey proper, and from there out into the courtyard where he recently parted ways with the others.
This route will take him and his fellow back into the abbey, and possibly under the very nose of the tar demon!
Unknowingly, the others agree heartily, and everyone files out of the library and into the passage outside...
