Mads stashes a score of arrows in the brush near the camp site, while Dieter easily shoulders Caine's additional gear.
Like the rest of you, Taines is a relative new comer to the region, and says so as you all continue to march southward.
Very shortly you pass the site of last evening's battle, and see that the corpses have been mauled and gnawed by animals during the night... a rather grisly way to go. You hurry on by.
Despite his stout stature, Taines seems easily able to keep up a steady march and you make good time. By mid-morning the drizzle eases, and you can clearly see the ruins ahead. At this pace, you figure you should make them before noon.
As you drawn yet closer, Anwyn moves ahead to the crest the next rise, and catches sight of several figures sheltering in the ruins. Perhaps they are the Hobgobins who retreated the evening before? But there may be more of them... it is difficult to assess their numbers from here, as they appear to be skulking in the shadows.
The ruins themselves are quite low, and barely resemble the square, two towered keep they once must have been.
The ruins are but a ten minute march away. You are concealed from sight behind the nearest ridge.
