"Aaaand...so it continues" whispers Lemmi, spying the ongoing labyrinth, "So what now gents?"

Boggs, tipsy from the dungeon air, forges onward into the dank unknown. "Left turn, left hand, the 'sinister' hand... tee hee hee!" He holds his torch aloft and scans for vermin spoor, pits, traps, sloping passages, etc.

Boggs moves lightly on, the little figure seemingly perfectly at home in the underdark. 20ft, 30ft, 40ft ahead he creeps, til he reaches the sinister turn. Stealing a glance about, he spies another dim 40ft passage. At the very end is a door, again to the left... always to the left...

ways, can you clarify, does the passage continue past the left-hand door? Or have we reached the end of this hallway?

If we've gone as far as we can without opening doors, I'm inclined to return to the boat room, collect the fighters, and start opening doors in order, radiating out from a central point. What do the rest of you think?

you have reached an L turn. There is no going ahead. Only left, through a door.

Lemmi decides it is time to put her ear to the task, and listens cautiously at the door for noise within.

Boggs shines his torch upon the door and gives it a visual inspection whilst Lemmi listens.

The company advances down the short passageway toward the door. About 10ft shy, Boggs and Lemmi creep up to investigate... Lemmi listens astutely but hears nothing, Boggs sees a rather ancient looking, iron bound door... the dust at its foot appears long undisturbed; by men or by rodents.

What next?

Boggs scratches his beard and says: "I think we just walked counter-clockways around a 40' square. This door hasn't been opened in a long time." He checks the wall to his right (straight ahead from the perspective of someone walking down the passageway) for secret doors, on the theory it might complete the square back to the original hallway.
No way Boggs is personally opening that door.

Lemmi purses her lips at the dwarfs conclusion. "One way ta find out I guess" she notes with a smirk, and cautiously tries the door handle - opening it slowly if it gives.
