Please post your orders for combat turn 2.

The players are crammed hastily a short way down a narrow-ish passage, with Leudigar and Arian at the business end, Zem and Fried directly behind them. There is room for two to fight abreast. Those at the back reckon there's about 60ish feet of passage way behind before the Bleakmass Tree room.

The good news is that Dopey and Faengol are safely behind the two ranks of fighters... for now.

Freid says, "Dopey get back down the corridor...FAST!"

"I'll back up Leudigar and Arian." Freid stays behind those two and although he can't attack, he can step into the gap if one is injured and needs to step back past him.

"Fighting retreat!" Freid says to the others, "We'll take turns covering. Fight and step back to let Zem and me take the next hit, then repeat."

"We'll triple up on them when we get back to the bigger room!"
How many goblins are we facing? How many of the bigger hobgoblins?

Remembering that there are reserve weapons back in the mess hall lying among the goblins dispatched there, Dopey heeds Freid's advice and retreats down the corridor.

Upon reaching the mess hall, Dopey will arm himself with a small goblin axe or sword, and a shield should any be present, then open his bleak-mass present while the battle line moves down the hallway, towards the mess hall.

When the melee reaches the entrance of the mess hall, he will assess whether to join in the fight at the doorway.

Zem eyes the goblins and waits for the right moment to strike, taking the closet target he can.
We can fight 2 a breast BUT the dwarf is short so you might able to spear attack over his head?

Kianna who was in the rear but is now in the lead as she executes a fast retreat back to the room in order to help fight the hobs by holding them in the narrow doorway, with the plan to fight them one at a time. ""These people are crazy, yes its always safer to split up into groups and go it alone, someone going to get killed and its not going to be me!", she mutters.

As Kianna enters the room again as she drops her torch and readies shield and sword for the attack. She calls to Wetzel and Faengol who stayed in the room, "Hobgoblins oncoming come here to attack them!".

Arian looks hurt (figuratively and literally) to find herself wounded. She sweeps back her cloak to reveal the ornately carved - is that wooden armour she's wearing, drags her odd sword, curved like a giant sickle from its sheath and engages the enemy, continuing to fall back as she does so.

"If someone else fancies a turn up front feel free," she adds breezily.

Dopey and Kianna hasten back toward the Bleakmass Tree room, which they find unoccupied.

Meanwhile, Leudigar and Arian delay the goblin kind in corridor. Fried makes a quick head count, spotting half a dozen hobgoblins and a single, massive bugbear in the rear. There is bitter fighting in the confined space; Leudigar and Arian make bloody work of the snarling hobgoblins before Arian's shield is dashed into useless splinters as she is smashed to the ground; a huge Bugbear looms over her and will surely finish her off! But behind the line Faengol the elf medium has conjured Yizmund's Unlikely Rorqual and caused Zem the dwarf to grow massive! Almost Ogre-sized himself he steps over Arian to clash mightily with the bugbear, dealing it a stunning blow to start their heroic contest!
Combat Turn 2

The ref dices for initiative, players d6 → 1 then non-players: d6 → 5 so the goblinkind have the initiative.

Missile/Magic Segment
There is no missile fire permitted in melee, however, Faengol begins his invocation of Yizmund's Unlikely Rorqual ...

Movement Segment
Dopey and Kianna are not engaged so take their first move back toward the Bleakmass Tree room.

Faengol has not moved, is not shot, and is not melee, so completes his invocation. Zem grows to dwarf-ogre proportions!

Melee Segment
As fighting had already commenced, there will be up to three rounds of melee this turn.

Melee Segment, 1st Round

Hobgoblins front rank: 2 # d20 + 1 (FC Man+1) → [15, 12] would hit AC4 and AC7.
Who is targeted? 1-3 Arian, 4-6 Leudigar 2 # d6 → [5, 2], so 15 vs Leudigar (AC 3/5) and 12 vs Arian (AC 4/6), both miss.

Leudigar (FC 2 Men-2) 2 # d20 - 2 → [-1, 17].
Arian (FC Man) 1 # d20 → [18].
Two hits, 2 # d6 → [3, 5] for 8 hp damage.
[3, 5 2, 7 1, 3, 3, 5] One hobgoblin is slain.

Fewer than one-third losses, no morale check necessary.

Melee Segment, 2nd Round

Hobgoblins: 2 # d20 + 1 (FC Man+1) → [15, 5] would hit AC4 and miss.
Who is targeted? 1-3 Arian, 4-6 Leudigar d6 → [3], so 15 vs Arian (AC 4/6), hit d6 → 5 for 5 hp. Would slay Arian, so her shield is sacrificed instead.

Leudigar (FC 2 Men-2) 2 # d20 - 2 → [14, 13] would hit AC5 and AC6, two hits.
Arian is knocked back so can't resposte.
Two hits, 2 # d6 → [4, 4] for 8 hp damage.
[3, 5 2, 7 1, 3, 3, 5 4] Three hobgoblins slain!

Greater than one-third losses, so morale is called: 2d6+1 → 10, so these guys are hardened fighters.

Melee Segment, 3rd Round

Ogre-Zem steps into Arian's place.

1 Hobgoblin: 1 # d20 + 1 (FC Man+1) → [12] would hit AC7 so miss.
1 Bugbear (FC 3 Men/Hero-1): 1 # d20-1 (as Hero, THAC2 14) → [7] miss.

Leudigar (FC 2 Men-2) 2 # d20 - 2 → [12, 4] would hit AC7, miss.

Ogre-Zem (FC 4 Men/Hero!) 1 # d20 (as a Hero, THAC2 14) → [13], would hit AC 3 so hits the bugbear. d6 + 2 → 5 hp damage. [16, 11]

End of Combat Turn 2.

Leudigar, emboldened by his success thus far, continues to press the fight with the remaining hobgoblin.

Arian make haste to crawl back out of harm's way.

"That was fun!" she exclaims, grinning bloodily at the rest of the company. :D
