If that's the case, Het would prefer to stay down there a little longer and see if we can find Alistair's lair and any extra loot he may have acquired before we bail.Makofan wrote:One sojourn uses up at least a day, so it will be next day. The dungeon is opened once per day at about 9 am.
Yes, DD differs from the original in its consistent approach to the dice: the players will always benefit by rolling high. Likewise, the NPCs (or "the dungeon") will always benefit by rolling high. For surprise: the players will surprise the monsters if they roll a 5-6 (or 3-6 for thieves!), and the monsters will surprise the players if they roll a 5-6 (or 3-6 for some especially sneaky sorts).Makofan wrote:In Delving Deeper, Surprise is on a 5 or 6 (not a 1 or 2 like in OD&D)
I'm okay with Golguldir sleeping the goblins; it's too complicated otherwise.Makofan wrote:Well, coffee and I have had a plan for his new character for the last week or so. He should appear soon, once I have everybody's OK (especially Golguldir's) to retcon the damage and sleep the goblins without casualties
