"Tha Fiyastarta?" grunts a voice from within, and immediately there's a hush.
"Oi 'erd it were 'im that did Deggerhund's lot," warns another voice, quietly now.
There's some grumbling best described as a pause, before the first voice affirms: "Best git inside, yoo lot..." and the sounds of shuffling and movement carry to Desmond's ears even over the nearby glug glug glug of Dorgan's oil pouring out of the flask and onto the earth...

"Yes... you've heard of the Firestarter. Then maybe you've heard of Double Trouble, as well. I was blinded by a curse and still Deggerhund ran like a woman when I told him of his impending doom. Now my sight is restored and I will not be trifled with! Return the gems... or a suitable monetary substitute... and we'll be on our way and you can live as you may with your bridge and your tolls."

Desmond whispers to Dorgan and Dhren, "Get ready to light up that oil if the ogre stands in the middle of it."

Dorgan looks at Dhren, then at the oil, then shows his empty hands and shrugs.

Desmond glances over at Dhren to confirm he has lit a torch. Then he takes a few steps back from the oil-soaked ground.

Ashtad gets ready for a good first shot with an arrow and waits.

There comes no direct reply to Desmond's latest taunts. He only hears receding mutters and grunting; then comes a heavy grinding sound and a deep thud, followed by... nothing.

"Damn, this curiosity is going to get the best of me some day," Desmond mutters as he skirts around the edge of the oil to get a better look into the cave to see what the ogres are doing.

Desmond/Mondes dares a quick peek into the cave... and sees nuthin' at first. He double checks and this time he's certain; the cave is empty! It's as if the four Ogres have vanished into thin air?

Their meager came fire still smoulders surrounded by five rock and tree-stump stools. The sharp tang of unwashed Ogre still lingers in the air, but nobody is home... or so it seems.

Feeling brave, Desmond asks for the torch and enters. Wary of traps, he searches high and low with both sets of eyes as he advances into the room, looking for some means of escape the ogres might have used. He also keeps an eye out for anything they might have left behind.

Dorgan will follow Des inside the cave and see if his keen Dwarven senses reveal anything.
