"That might be a good idea." Olaf says as he sets the lantern down carefully and takes the scepter from his belt. Raising it he says the magic words and waits to see if the scepter gives off its bright light.

"Light I need light, and stop that noise so I can hear. How is anyone supposed to sneak around here?", says Wibert.
"I think the birds have flown, complete with all our silver and gold...and my gear!" Olaf mutters to Wibert, "Let's have a quick look and if it's gone, it's gone and let's get out of here!"

Olaf utters the command word for his resplendent scepter and the bright, ivory-white light comes steadily up to full strength again. Tis a glorious, clear, white light. Almost dazzling!

Now Olaf assists Wibert, and the two of them open the doors to the Ogre den fully so that they can see within.

Alas! It is much as Olaf feared. There are no enemy hiding withing. And none of the loot or supplies which Olaf stashed here either.

There is only a faint, lingering scent of something... reptilian detectable in the air.

Olaf will take a minute to extinguish his lantern and hook it to his belt. We will probably need it later.

"Let's get out of here," Ulric says in disgust. "Better to take what we have and maybe live than to die for certain. Let's just hope that there isn't another ambush waiting for us out side the door."

Ulric starts to make his way back down the stairs to investigate the commotion below and inform the others of their discovery.

"The first bright idea you've had in weeks," snipes Mondes, but he's all in agreement.

Wibert agrees, "Well lets leave and be careful at what must be waiting outside for us. I ready hoped to find something to eat in here".

Before the lantern is turned off Wibert will have a quick look in the orge lure to see if he can find anything then he will leave with the others, keeping a look out for trouble with every step.

Wibert casts a rueful glance around the Ogres' den, but there is nothing of any value left here... nor anything remotely edible.

With the township of Ket being at least two days march away, supplies are now a concern....
