Dieter sets about the cold task efficiently, manfully hauling the cart out of the little hollow and righting it -- a job that would normally require two strong Men!
Then Victor and Boris haul the two chests and the rest of the company's gear out from the back of the hollow. A lot of it is sodden and muddy (perhaps some of the supplies are ruined with wet -- but there will be time to look into that later).
Between them all they lug the heavy chests and the rest of the gear up onto the rickety cart, positioning as much of it as possible over the axles for better balance.
The cart isn't in great shape, one side being knocked off entirely, and the rear gate looking like it might fall off at any moment. The left hand side wheel is none to steady either. But it all, with two Men pulling from the front, and two Men pushing from behind it is possible to move the load at a miserly slog, out of the rocky gorge...
By the time all this is established and ready to go, all five Men (Dieter, Andaros, Olaf, Boris and Victor) and soaked to the skin and muddy to the knees.
There can hardly be an hour of daylight left, and the rain is falling more steadily than the wind is gusting.
It is going to be a major undertaking to get the cart back down the rocky ridge and into the next gully...
Who is pushing and pulling? Is anyone on lookout duty?
