I think we decided to try to get the coins out of the glass ball? Room 25 on my map, if I recall correctly.

Gotcha!
Dominating the east wall is a large glass ball suspended 5 feet in the air by a chain from the ceiling. The ball seems to be filled with silver pieces, with the occasional glint of a gold coin among them

"Well friends, how shall we approach this problem? The direct approach might be to smash the globe, from afar or near. Or perhaps we could break the links of the chain with a crowbar, and gently lower the globe to the ground, so we can examine it more carefully.
"If we do decide to smash it, let's not forget the living statues to the south! We don't want to wake them up with too much noise."

"Perhaps a well-placed sling stone or arrow would break it," Aldbane suggests. "If we have enough distance it should be safe."

"Slow down! Wait for me!!" huffs and puffs the little halfling, finally catching up to the others. "Did somebody say 'sling stone'? I think I can hit the glass ball from out in the hallway. If something bad happens, we can slam the door."

You retreat to the west, and then a well-placed shot shatters the glass, sending coins raining down onto the floor in a noisy cascade. Sconces starts barking
