"Yes!" agrees Wiglaff.

Wiglaff scouts ahead & takes a look into the big room.

Re: Delve the Sixth

The room you enter has a center space of 30 feet wide (the width of one passage to the other) by 50 feet long. On the east wall are two doors, opposite from the passages. In the centre of the room is a white marble statue of the foam-born goddess on a clamshell. There are six alcoves, three on each side at the 10', 30' and 50' mark. Each holds a caryatid column of a maiden, painted silver

Re: Delve the Sixth

Maloof investigates the central statue. Specifically, does it look like anything may be hidden inside the clamshell or is it really just part of the statue?

Re: Delve the Sixth

While Maloof is checking out the statuary, Wiglaff, curious, exits the room the same way he came in, walks north to the statue of Poseidon, and reenters the room via the north passage, watching the walls & floors of said passage carefully for any sign of traps or magic.

Re: Delve the Sixth

Vesh will start investigating the silver maiden statues in the alcoves one by one taking his time & being careful not to touch them.

It seems like the statue and the open clamshell are from two different stones, and joined together. The regularity of the circular base makes you think the statue could be turned.

Although he sees no mechanism, to Wiglaff's alarm the section of floor closest to the room rings hollow under his feet!
