Re: Delve the Sixth

Grampus lies down on the beginning of the North passage floor and spreads out his hands flat to the surface. He listens and tunes in to see if there are any disturbances or muffled noises coming from the rock. (Could be his wanting to be more proficient or the effect of the ale....)

Re: Delve the Sixth

Franklin scouts to the east, thinking in about 60' he might come to an intersection.

acodispo's map is wrong as he has not yet made this correction - the north corridor should be shifted down 10 feet; the two doors are in the 20 and 40' sections of teh room, not the 30 and 50 '

Yes, Franklin's east passage goes 60 feet, and ends at a T-junction in the 70' section. The south passage goes 10' to a door, the north passage at least 30'

BTW, since the scouts can't see in teh dark, I assume they have some light?

Re: Delve the Sixth

Map updated (please check).

Regarding scouting: if I remember correctly our original intent was to creep along at the edge of the torch light from the main party, staying at the edge of the light. The hope was that this partial illumination would allow Franklin & Wiglaff to get some benefit from their halflingness & elven cloak, respectively, and be slightly less noticeable to any threats.

However, thinking about it now we're pretty much silhouetted by the torch light behind us to anything approaching from the dark. Doesn't seem too effective. :-|

How about Wiglaff takes a torch from Edgar whenever they venture out scouting?

Franklin came prepared and will use his lantern as needed.

OK

I was just thinking "Hey , we're almost invisible! Umm...except for this honing light beacon we're holding" :)

Re: Delve the Sixth

Yes, given that the monsters can see in the dark, there doesn't seem to be a way to make this benefit work. Oh well! :-)
