One practical use that may come up could be: if a M-U or cleric needs to spend a "turn away" from the expedition in order to research a spell, or create a scroll, potion, or whatever. The player could switch to a different PC to continue the adventure while his M-U/cleric is back in town taking care of "business".

Depending on how Makofan wants to handle "town time".
I handle town time as up to the players. However, i don't want more than a week between expeditions

At 200 gp per 1st level spell scroll, he can only afford two scrolls. He will hunt first for sleep and charm person scrolls. Failing either of those, a fog wall might be fun for a change...
[f=32]Golgildir the Elf Medium (MV 12", AC 9, HD 1, hp 1/1, AL N) great cloak, lantern; spells: color spray; scrolls: sleep, sleep, charm person
Hirelings: Georges; torch[/f]

Re: Delve 3 Aftermath

Both Sleep and Charm Person are currently available. He purchases the two for 400 gold. By my notes, he currently has one unused Sleep scroll from last time in his inventory if that influences anything

Also, that leaves him with 113 gold, so he could make a scroll if he wishes

Re: Delve 3 Aftermath

He also shops for potions useful to a fighter: healing, heroism, giant's strength, etc.
Unfortunately, potions, rings, wands etc are currently unavailable. There are some in the dungeon though!
