Re: Delve the Third

"Ah," observes Golguldir, "Our brave fighting-Men appear to have located a more direct route to the riches which, considerng all the visitors to this level, would natrually be vaulted more securely below."

Watching procedings with the rope he advises: "Let us lower a light down yonder chute most expeditiously! We would not want our fellows to believe us lost to them!"

"Departed" only insofar as: departed from our immediate company :)

Re: Delve the Third

OK, a rope is lowered. Who is holding it, and is anybody going down it? Is a torch dropped down the hole, or is someone going to descend with one?

Re: Delve the Third

Golguldir extracts a torch from his pack and fires it as briskly as possible, and instructs his remaining Man Alkman to do the same. He directs that this own torch be tied to Serech's rope so that it can be lowered down the chute immediately thereafter.
Ideally we can see how deep this chute goes before jumping down it...

Archie fell down the hole also, Alkman will have to use the torch

Re: Delve the Third

The torch disappears out of sight quickly, as it looks like the hole is actually a spiral chute to somewhere

Re: Delve the Third

"Well..." says Serech, "maybe we should tie the rope to another and lower them down."

Re: Delve the Third

I am not really getting any consensus here as to specific actions to take. Since things are also happening at the other end, I have to put them on hold so we are at the same time scale

Re: Delve the Third

"Well then," instructs Golguldir, "secure the second rope as quickly as you may, and let us rejoin our fellows imminently!"
As Mako has just told us the other players are still active, we know it isn't an instantly fatal fall... perhaps a couple of brave souls should jump down to assist? I would do so myself, but Golguldir has but 1 hp, so even a minor hurt would kill him :(

Re: Delve the Third

"We have ropes, no? Let us tie them to one of our fellows and lower him at least to that extent to see what can be seen! Eh? Heh?"
Catweazle is pretty skinny, and his two men-at-arms are presumably reasonably burly, so he will volunteer to be lowered down with lantern in hand.
