Re: 07 - Exploring Tor-Xonor

Once he is awakened, Rhegaer quickly grabs his axe and shield, lamenting the lack of time to don armour...

Coln
Readies his crossbow and wakes Aurora up.

Re: 07 - Exploring Tor-Xonor

Alrik quickly alerts the rest of the party who scramble to meet the threat....

The darkness turns cold, almost tangible, yes in fact it seems like a piece of darkness is moving into the dimly lit area. When Shoul's lantern flares to life it becomes more clear.

A long sinuous patch of darkness is moving towards you, behind another one can be seen. At first shapeless they seem to take on the form of pure black serpents, with thin wings of the blackest satin. What manner of evil is this? One thing is clear the are coming for you.

Round 1 begins.... (Everyone but Alrik will be at -1 Init, I was no cruel enough to check surprise.)

Re: 07 - Exploring Tor-Xonor

"I fear I have no spells that will hold off such foes!" Alrik says as he flings a flask of oil at the lead creature and readies his silver dagger. "But fire may yet save us! Rik, hurl a torch to ignite the oil, quickly!"

OOC: I think we are in the central cave marked #2 on the map? Which entrance did the shadow things come in? We might have an exit or two behind us...

Re: 07 - Exploring Tor-Xonor

Unsure if it will even work, Rhegaer swings at the nearest shadow of snake with his axe.

Re: 07 - Exploring Tor-Xonor

Urist holds back (so he doesn't get splashed with flaming oil). If he has a clear shot, he'll fire a sling stone at the shadow-snakes.
