Willie makes sure to stuff himself full of johnnycakes and omelets, as Adventuring is energetic work that must be well-fueled.

As Frederick ushers them through the trap door, Willie rubs his hands together almost gleefully.

"You're in for a treat!" he says to the new members of Adventure Club, grinning & showing the gaps in his smile where his teeth have been knocked out.

Dougal makes a show of watching the new adventurers pack their bags and hrumphs sourly as he eyes what Dame Simonetta appears to be missing from hers...

"Dame, I know you all had a lot of dry flapcakes yesterday, but... you might consider bringing some eats with you. Obviously we've already had first and second breakfast and should be good for a bit of time, but lunch will soon find it's way and you'll wish your stack of fresh cloths was a stack of dressed cakes!"

"Of course, I was just about to do so, I am a light eater though." Dame Simonetta responds to Dougal. Of recent she's been a light eater due to force of necessity rather than inclination.

She asks Frederick what he has in the way of meals on-the-go, and stocks up on whatever's available.

Two options:
1. Dame Simonetta could purchase a week's food for 7gp (weight 15lbs) in which case she'd probably also want a large sack (2gp) to carry her mail armor, leaving her with just 1gp in her pocket.
2. If Simonetta thinks she'll be in the dungeon less than 24 hours and wants to save a few coins, Frederick could gift her some snacks for her pockets (fruit, nuts, cheese, a cookie equal to 1 day iron rations, weight 1lb).

How long was the first expedition away? She'll get rations in accord with what happened previously.

The first adventure was only a few hours. They never even refilled their lantern oil. Assuming a similar timeframe for the second adventure, Simonetta should be fine with a pocket full of snacks.

But don't we have a WOTE-esque method of healing vis-a-vis a rest with some rations?

OK then, I'll get the full 1-week rations and a sack.

Two and a half hours pass; it is nearly time for Second Breakfast.

It's a slow morning at the House of Pancakes, and there is only one customer: a middle-aged Hobbet woman enjoying a slice of apple pie. She is dressed in a simple gray robe and has a wild look about her, like a free spirit who is used to sleeping outside under the stars. Frederick is wiping down the counter and catching up this new customer, who has the look of an old friend. "So anyway, last time I was in Kingsport, I went to the Haymarket, looking for experimental new pancake ingredients. There was this ship called the Nanana Boat all the way from Jamaica, and they had fruit like you wouldn't believe: Nananas, Payas, Kiwiwis, Pie Napples..."

His story is interrupted by a loud thud from the storeroom, as our Heroes climb the ladder and fling open the trap door.

Frederick blinks in surprise. "Back so soon?!?"
