Happy New Year, Hobbet Heroes!

How is everybody feeling? Things are well enough here in the foothills of the Upper Miskatonic Valley. Staying sane and healthy as I can. I sure am looking forward to tearing that last page off the 2020 calendar in a few hours.

A rules change for your consideration, in the spirit of increasing the party's combat ability (so I can throw more interesting challenges at you): Shall we get rid of our house rule about armored PCs stripping down to leather, when moving through tunnels? My rationale: The bulkiness of heavy armor is already reflected in the rules by its encumbrance. My house rules were double-penalizing heavy armor users and discouraging a popular character archetype. For verisimilitude, let's just assume that armored characters rearrange their armor as necessary, and that this is subsumed in the encumbrance penalty to movement rate.

Would any of the party fighters have interest in switching to chain or plate, to take on more of a 'tank' role?

Happy New Year! I'll let the tanks think over the rule, I've got no problem with it but I'm not a fighter this time around. Looking forward to getting 2020 out the door.

I think I would like to purchase Plate for Dame Simonetta. Let's just say her near-death experience got her thinking that maybe she should be better equipped! Character sheet updated, I assume it's 50gp?

Happy New Year everyone! :)

Willie, as a Fighter/Thief, will stick with his leather jerkin.

Though the rule change sounds great!

Great! I gave Dame Simonetta full trade-in value on her chain mail, towards her new suit of plate. There isn't a Hobbet armorer in Hornpipe, but let's say it happened off-camera in between episodes. Please note, by my count this drops her to 6" movement rate.

Hi guys, sorry for the delay. Just putting a few finishing touches on the next chapter of Hobbet Heroes. Things are a little crazy right now. Thank you for being so patient!

Things are looking up every day.

Not to go into great detail, but I've been dealing with a toxic relationship issue for... well, too long. But agreements were made and leases were signed and she's out of the condo by February 28.

I. Can't. Wait.

I was wondering how that whole situation was going for you. I'm happy for you that, if nothing else, at least you have an end date for that stage of the drama. Hopefully our D&D adventures will provide some fun escapism. :)

It's soooo good to see Coffee tossing his hobbit hat into the ring! Welcome to the game, sir!
