Hero Titles

As Olaf, Highbough, Gustave, Desmond, Josiane, and Dorgan are all about to ding "hero" status, I thought I'd cast a line for suggestions as to their public nicknames. What do you folks reckon the common man would have heard of their exploits, and hence concluded ?

These nick-names would be the tap room, fireside, and on-the-street rumours and gossip circulating around Ket (and surrounds); probably part exaggeration/part truth...

Any input is appreciated and will (of course!) be taken into consideration :)

I reckon 'The Vagabond Knight' suits Josiane nicely. :)

Yep, that title has served her nicely as a regular, anonymous, "normal"--but she's about to become a "hero"!

Thinking back over Josiane's career I have to say she has been exceptionally well played doctorx, great work. I remember particularly that she is always so determined to save everybody and everything; maidens, men, mules, owls...

It may be a tired old cliche, but then again, so is he... "Highbough the Grey Elf" has a nice ring to it, don't you think? :)

Any other suggestions from the peanut gallery?

It also has to be something that can stand alone so that the wagging tongues will know exactly of whom you speak...

Josiane "Knight Savior"
Joaiane "Knight of Mercy"

Highbough "Grey Elf"
Highbough "Grey Shadow"
Highbough "Warlock-lord"

Dorgan the Bootless : I like sort of Thorin Oakshield'ish

Gustave "the Earl"

Olaf "Doomguard"
Olaf "Withertouch"

I'll add more as they come to me.

Maybe the peasants assume both of Desmond's heads can fight separately, so they call him Desmond Two-Blades?

Less flattering might be Desmond the Demon.

Olaf the Phoenix. (Olaf 2.0? The Six Million Dollar Olaf? "We have the relics, we can rebuild him")

Highbough the Shadow. The Dark Elf.

My dad's friends call my dad "The Governor" because he talks to everyone he meets, like he's running for office or something. Gustave being as outgoing as he is, I could see The Governor fitting him as well.

To be honest, I think "The Gustave" fits him like a glove, but that's just me.

Josiane the Angel. The Righteous.
