Well, the Hezmog Company did eventually get out to the goblin fortress... but only after a six-year diversion

Was that our original goal??

Having been jumped in at an opportune time (the party was being mauled by two owl bears and Desmond - sporting just one head - blew his boon, a silver whistle, and frightened them off), I had no idea of the original goal.

Crazy to think I've been playing a game for most of 7 years. Much props to WOTE for all the work and effort he's put into the Hinterlands.

And thanks for the bday wishes. 44 (in the STL area, you have to pronounce that, "fahrty-fahr") isn't so bad. Yet.

I kind of wish we had a "like this post" feature here — I'd be mashing it like a donkey on a waffle. Although, I can see arguments against having/enabling it.

I don't think "like" has been consciously disabled, if it is a feature of this version of phpbb. Any phpbb gurus here know?

It would be neat if, one day, we could all take our original characters and start a new game that begins with "you stand before the entrance to the fabled Hinterlands dungeon".

There is no "Like" function for the phpbb forum software, as far as we've been able to figure out over at Unseen Servant.

If memory serves, I believe Dieter, Olaf, and Ulric are the last standing of the original original group... currently lost in a maze somewhere below a red desert on a distant planet...
