Yes. The Baleful Somnolence is only effective when cast on a specific creature (or creatures) that the caster can see.

Experience Points
PCs of all classes require the same number of experience points per level, as per the OD&D Fighting Man (Men and Magic, page 16).
Unfortunately I don't have this manual so can I find out how many experiences points we need to go up to 2nd/3rd etc.. levels.

You need 2,000 XP to reach 2nd level, 4,000 to reach 3rd level, and so on.

I have to say, I'm really enjoying the combat descriptions!

Kesher does something like this in his game (face to face), but it seems even more fun when I don't already know who rolled what.

Have an exalt for this!

I totally agree! The descriptions are great, they're really keeping me 'in the game.'

Well, unless Taines wants to go quietly I'd say it's once again time for the old sleep spell. Other ideas or do we want to see if Mads can talk us out of this first?

I agree to sleep them once Mads can do no more. So far we have got a few to run away, if we can hang in there we may loose a few more! Buuut if the sleep fails we have a big fight on our hands, and we should kill our Hobgoblin captives before the new ones reach you.
