Ah, well. I believe most of us need natural healing, anyway...

A clerical cure spell or a healing potion will fix damage done by fantastic types (including medusae). As will natural rest (i.e., town time).
It's also true that a 1st level cleric cannot memorise any spells....

Meanwhile, what orders folks? (i.e., affirmative, in character, statements of intent...)

"Let's head back to where we left the others."says Freid, "Then try to make our way out of these caverns."

Zem nods in agreement."You and I had better lead, these two don't look so good.".

"Alright, but I don't either of us look much better than they do." Freid says with a sigh, "Have you ever heard the tale about the army that went 'one bridge too far'? I think that describes us."

"Of course, if we'd stopped, we'd be returning with next to no treasure." he adds as he takes the lead.

Freid carefully goes through the ropes and bells and returns to the monk's room where he pauses before opening the door to listen with his ear pressed to the wooden slab.

Eris, I have updated Fried's statline in your signature.

Fried is moving 9", wearing the silver mail, and his front/rear AC is 3/5.

(Note that the latter need not imply anything about the nature of the mail; enchanted armor does not adjust the class of armor, it applies a negative adjustment to the opponent's attack roll).

Leudigar and Karl set fresh torches burning before Fried leads the company back into the narrow secret passage...

It's a long, dark corridor only wide enough for single-file. About 10ft in it takes a gentle left turn, then another, then proceeds about 30-40ft back toward the narrow gap in the stone which opens into the monk room. As Fried approaches, he realises the secret door ahead is still open... at 10-15ft away he pauses to listen in case anyone might be in the room, but he doesn't hear anything, or see any light ahead. The monk room is appearently all still and quiet.
I have a new marching order: Fried, Zem, Leudigar, Karl.

Leudigar and Karl, please scratch one torch each.

It appears from your stat lines that Leudigar and Karl both have fresh torches burning for this section of the crawl.

So this is torch-turn one.

Ref checks for monsters this turn: 1d6=?

What now?

Freid whispers back to the others,"Seem quiet, but stay alert!"

He'll move forward pausing again before entering the room to listen again. If he hears nothing, he'll call for Leudigar to move up behind him and shine the torch inside the room as Freid moves into the room. With the torch behind him, it should dazzle anyone inside, but he should be able to see well.

If Leudigar lights another torch, Karl will not. As I said earlier, with just the 4 of us, we shouldn't need two at the same time.

But I'll check off the one I used on Karl's sheet.
