Zem can hardly believe he is still alive."Well struck Fried, do our friends live?"
Trying to bandage the wounded first then we'll have to gather the treasure and get the heck out of here.

Freid collapses to the ground and breathes heavily. He knows he was very, very, lucky to survive this combat. "The rest of you cover us while we bind wounds.", he'll turn to binding his wounds and then attempt to do the same for those who are down.

"I hope this was worth it!"he mutters,"We've got to find somewhere to rest and recover and then we have to get out of here."
We clearly all have the same idea. :) Could we go back to the Monk's room and spike the doors shut to rest. Would that be safe you think? Before we try to fight our way out of here it sure would be good to get back up to full HP and have a spell back...do we have *any* spell casters left?

We left some inactive and NPC's in the Kitchen so in theory we could pick them up. One is a cleric but in general the surviving 4 fighters is the party.. I hope we make it out :)

Fried orders a watch, but as he collapses to rest he realises that there's nobody left in any better state than himself...
Fried and Zem are left on 1 and 2 hp respectively. Leudigar and Karl recover 1/2 a hp each, which is enough to talk and move around gingerly but not enough to fight, while the ref considers what lasting impact being "incapacitated" might have.

Meanwhile, recall that medusa hits are considered fantastic, so can only be recovered by fantastic means (or town time). I.e., a short rest here and now won't heal you up.

If you overlook the treasure this time, I'm packing up my dice box... :D

Zem does what he can to help the others get to their feet."We earned this gold, let's grab what we can."He would proceed to look through the treasure filling his backpack and sack with the highest value items first.

Barely recovered from his wounds, Leudigar helps to carefully sort through the treasure to find the most valuable and portable items.

He begins by searching the second dead medusa...
Hey, how about a potion of healing or three? A bottle of salve that turns stone to flesh? A wand of healing that anyone can use? A genie in a bottle? A ring of wishes? :D

Staggering through the ruinous structure that squats below the great arch, Zem see the treasure room laid out below him, while Leudigar searches the slain monster and Fried and Karl take a breather back at the battle site.

The treasure room is still illuminated by the struggling torch which Leudigar cast down to the floor before the fighting. The treasure room is about 10-15ft lower than the ruin, connected via a stepped terrace. It must be about 70ft square, Zem unconsciously estimates, and aligned as a diamond adjoining the ramp room via one point. Off to the right, Zem sees the open passage from whence the second medusa emerged. However, what immediately catches his eye is the ensemble of statues poised around the far perimeter, and the numerous pots of coin standing between them, some of them over-spilling into huge piles of shiny loose metal. His eyes widen as he realises... it's a proper treasure hoard.

Meanwhile, Leudigar discovers that the second snake-woman wears a gold snake ring with a green gem, as did the first.

Leudigar removes the ring from the corpse. Then he retrieves his torch and begins searching through the treasure hoard for anything that isn't coin and takes inventory of it by gathering it together.

If there is naught but coin, then he begins sorting it out by coin type.
