Karl will stand guard while the others search.

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Leudwig examines the newly found unusual stone.

"Well done, Zem. Now let's see what it's hiding..."

Leudigar begins pressing on nearby stones, looking for a trigger or switch that will allow egress into whatever is contained within.

Akbar approaches sidelong the odd portal Zem has discovered in the wall. He puffs some pipe-smoke side-wise and watches by torchlight to see if the smoke is disturbed by any ingress or egress of air.

Is the block at floor-level, or at some height above the ground?

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Leudigar searches about for a "key stone" on the wall, but Zem intuitively senses it would be foot operated, and steps on the 4in wide flagstone abutting the wall with his boot. It depresses very slightly to produce a barely perceptible chink, releasing a mechanism and enabling the floating slab of stone to sink smoothly into the ground, forcing a rush of displaced air up. In moments a 4ft wide, 6ft tall passage is revealed; it is featureless stone, and leads some 40ft straight toward similarly sized portal, beyond which a warm red glow is dimly visible...

Unnecessarily, Leudigar holds a finger to his lips as he turns to the others. Quietly drawing his sword and dagger, he slips into the passage...

Freid looks around counting heads, to make sure everyone is present and accounted for muttering quietly to himself, "No splitting up the party, this time."

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Okay, let's have a specific order down this narrow passage. I have Zax elsewhere; Leudigar takes the lead. Please spell out for me who is following after and at what intervals...

Otherwise I will presume this order.

Unless someone chimes in with a specific change, we should go with the (updated) default order.

Tonneau, I know you like playing the impetuous characters, but... need we mention the fate of The Gustave, another character who wandered off on his own, as an example of why we don't do this?? I'd much rather have an obnoxious impatient gnome in the group, trying to push us to action, than be short one fighter. ;)

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Zem would fall inline behind Leudigar, pleased with finding the passage.

Re: (082) The Darkness Below

Right O.

Unless I heard otherwise prior to my next post, I am going with: Leudigar, Zem, Akbar, Karl, Fried, each 5ft apart.
Zax is presently keeping a watch in the passage outside the monk room.

What is interesting is that we now essentially have a company of six fighters :)
