Re: (080) Where a Hobbet Goes

"Why that's a right bright idea, Dopey!" Freid says as he overheads the hobbet's plan, "I'd do it for 'ya, if I could write more than my name."

"I do think we best hurry, though, as there's likely gonna be pursuit sooner than later."
the man adds.

Re: (080) Where a Hobbet Goes

Leudigar moves ahead, bent low looking for signs that his companions may have passed this way in the dim light, while Dopey explains his plan to the rest of the group.

"'Tis a genius stratagem," concurs Faengol archly, "Assuming our fellows have mastered their letters. Perhaps our burly man here could move that foot-locker into these archways one at a time, I will execute the Hobbet-plan."

By this point Leudigar has gone 60ft ahead, and encountered a Y junction in the passage; one route curves left, the other curves right, but he hasn't sighted any clue or indication that speaks to him.
Alas, we haven't heard from Sister Arian or Faengol the Elf medium recently; I will put them in NPC status for now... Kianna the Elf Sister/Fighter/Medium is still in play, I believe.

Turn 12
The main company cogitates upon their plan while Leudigar scouts ahead.
The referee dices for Leudigar's tracking efforts 1d6=3, so nothing overtly helpful.

Re: (080) Where a Hobbet Goes

Is Leudigar able to discern direction while below ground? Can he tell if one passage goes in the direction of "outside" and one goes in the direction of deeper into the mountain side?

Freid will help with the foot lockers.

"We need to move along, soon." he says after he gets the locker into position.

Re: (080) Where a Hobbet Goes

Leudigar can't be certain, but his intuition tells him the right-hand passage veers toward the encircled crater-valley.
Let's dice for it; 1-3 left is toward the valley, 4-6 right is toward the valley. 1d6=5, so right.

Re: (080) Where a Hobbet Goes

Once the message is written, Dopey retrieves the remainder (if any) of his chalk, and leads the party down the central passage (Hopefully to rejoin Leudigar).

Just don't panic because your life is in the hands of someone named Dopey

Re: (080) Where a Hobbet Goes

Leudigar shrugs, "Not really sure, but the right path might be just taking us into the mountain farther. I think we should go left."

If nobody is in discord, he puts a ranger mark (just some scratch in the stonework that really just he can understand) on the side of the way (stone or wood, doesn't matter) framing the left-most passage before leading the party in that direction.

"Works for me." Freid says as he falls in behind Leudigar.

Faengol will add an Elvish symbol of hope to the writing based on the direction the group takes. He will then take up the staff and fall in line with the rest.
My apologies all! I missed we were starting again. Thank you Ways, for NPCing Faengol. You might just play him better than I!

Re: (080) Where a Hobbet Goes

All this comes to pass before Leudigar leads the company to the Y junction and proceeds to take the left turn. The left-curve straightens out over perhaps a score of paces before the company comes to another intersection. This one offers a perpendicular turn to the right toward a closed door at the end of a 30ft way, while the way ahead continues to curve gently rightward and downward.
First move back to the Y intersection; second move proceed to the next intersection.
What now?
