Dieter, Dorgan, Hiridren, Highbough, Helmut, Desmond/Mondes, Oalf, and Torben are here.

The current, single file marching order is this:

(front)
[p Halfling,leather,short sword,main gauche,9,12/12]Desmond/Mondes[/p]
[p Man,mail+helm,magic sword,shield,9,16/16]Dieter[/p]
[p Elf,leather+helm,hand,hand,12,7/8]Wen[/p]
[66 Elf,cloak,sword,lantern,12,5/5]Hiridren[/66]
[p Old Elf,leather+helm,spear,hand,12,10/10]Highbough[/p]
[p Man,elvish mail+helm,spear,shield,12,11/11]Torben[/p]
[p Dwarf,mail+helm,axe,shield,9,24/24]Dorgan[/p]
[66 Man,mail+helm,dagger, lantern,9,5/5]Helmut[/66]
[p Young Man,leather+helm,sword,shield,12,14/14]Olaf[/p]
(rear)

[66 Elf,cloak,sword,lantern,12,5/5]Hiridren[/66] is carrying a torch (and a sword).
[66 Man,mail+helm,dagger, lantern,9,5/5]Helmut[/66] is carrying a lantern (and a dagger).
Their names are brown because they could possibly be killed by a single normal hit.
Their names are back lit because they are carrying a light source.

Please mouseover your name and confirm that I've got the details therein correct !

The main part of the company gets itself assembled then marches out of the Ring Room (leaving Josiane, Armando, and Ashtad there), through the ancient U-bend and back into the chamber directly below the chapel. They climb the rough and ready circular stair back into the wreckage of the chapel itself, where upon they judge--by the daylight there--that it is already mid-afternoon.

[p Halfling, leather, short sword, main gauche,9,12/12]Desmond/Mondes[/p] then leads the way to the rear of the chapel, through the door on the right, and down a few short steps into the narrow passage that leads directly to the library (on the right) and the unexplored stair opposite (on the left). The passage continues ahead toward the infirmary door, and the lobby.

All this happens at a no-nonsense marching pace. [p Halfling, leather, short sword, main gauche,9,12/12]Desmond/Mondes[/p] now stands at the top of the dark, steep stair, with [p Man,mail+helm,sword,shield,9,16/16]Dieter[/p] at over his shoulder and the rest of his fellows arrayed in file behind him in the passage.

What now?

Taurnorn/Highbough is enthusiastic to be adventuring with multiple Elves. He seems rejuvenated in their company, almost... middle aged. While there is little he can do to influence the course of events from his place at the middle of the marching order, he is wholly focused on ridding the Abbey of any lingering dangers.

Dorgan says, "Ey! Let the new guy with the torch go first!"

A light chuckle, and Dhren says in a quiet tone (enough for all of us to hear it, but hopefully not much else) "If you all want me too, I'll spy this passage out best I can. And... Quiet as I can."

I think Dhren is at 9" movement currently, Ways, due to weight. I could be wrong. Also, folks, if Sully meant Dhren, He can do down and have a look. He'll be moving as quietly as he can, holding his torch high and a bit back if he does go.

Whichever new guy with a torch that wants to volunteer first can have the honors.

Movement rate isn't going matter overly if the others are holding back waiting for you. Besides which there are dwarfs and halflings present, so the party movement rate is 9" anyway.

Desmond chuckles, "He's just takin' the mick with you, Dhren. Best man for finding the traps is right here. Believe me, I've found enough of them. Besides, you might do better tucked a little further into the order until we know what's down here."

Desmond takes back the torch he so recently held and begins carefully descending the stairs, checking for traps as he goes.

"With Nezzbit about, nobody leaves sight of someone else in the party, yah? So don't hesitate to follow once I'm a handful of steps down."

Ashtad falls in line with the rear of the group as they left the ring room to explore the spiral staircase.
Ashtad will stay alert and with a bow in hand ready for anything in this strange place.
