| Ah, that sucks. Well, we'll just keep you in the middle of the formation until such a time as Wen wants to put it all back on, then, I guess! |

Re: (062) The Basal

Josiane rises from her rest, refreshed of body, but troubled of mind.

"I fear our friend's peril is grave indeed," she murmurs to any who care to listen; "We must make all haste to find him. Friend Wen; if your enchantments can help us you will have my gratitude."

Once satisfied that Dorgan and Dieter are on the road to recovery she takes up her shield, draws her sword and places her elfin helm on her head, a focused, determined look in her grey eyes.

The Vagabond Knight is ready to continue.

At any rate, yes, Dieter is now outside the room standing watch; if Highbough wants to go inside and rest, he may. And if Olaf comes out to stand watch as well, so much the better.
Yes, Olaf is doing that.

Yes, Olaf is doing that.
"Olaf, what news of Gustave?" queries Highbough.

Yes, Olaf is doing that.

"They say something about him being jailed, but much older and far from here." Olaf says adding with a shrug, "It must have been a vision of the future not the present."

"Not much help, I don't think." Olaf shrugs again, "We'll have to find him the hard way, I guess."

waysoftheearth wrote:The view is rushing in at such terminal speed that scarcely has a great ring of fortifications been seen from a bird's eye, as the view hurtles through a tiny window in a high, bleak wall. And into a barren, stone cell.

And in the cell is a man. A weary, bedraggled man. Hunched helplessly in a corner with long, matted hair hanging limply over his face and past his shoulders, and an unkempt beard, shot through with streaks of iron, hanging down over his chest. There are many marks scratched on the bleak walls...
| Hmmm...
1) "great ring of fortifications" - you suppose that is an even larger view of where we are and the fortifications are the different Alcazars? If you look at the main Hinterlands map provided by WOTE, at the top of it (East) a large structure is shown on the edge of the map. I was wondering if that was one of the Alcazars and the rest were all arranged in a large circle.

2) Unfortunately, I was thinking this...
"long, matted hair hanging limply over his face and past his shoulders, and an unkempt beard, shot through with streaks of iron, hanging down over his chest. There are many marks scratched on the bleak walls..."
... was maybe not indicating a great passage of time, but rather an indication of change. As in, lycanthropic change. But maybe Josiane's staff can set The Gustave straight, WHEN we finally do track him down? It is, after all, able to cure diseases and curses... |

Re: (062) The Basal

Wen utters his lyrical hymn and calls forth 3d6+2=14! a small swarm of twittering mice that come scurrying to him from all manner of tiny cracks and nooks until they sit, obediently, before him; whiskers twitching as they listen to Wen's instruction. Then they all turn and dash off, vanishing into the shadows and little tunnels from whence they came...

| Meanwhile, the resting is all done... I presume, from previous posts, that you now want to head back to the Basal in your standard marching order? |

I believe so, keeping in mind that Desmond will check for his cloak, bow, and quiver in the infirmary and hallway when they pass through those areas.
