The Quartermaster's forge is busy all the next day melting down silver coins supplied by the heroes and merging it into steel blades that will bite even the dread werewolves.
All told: daggers are made (10in, slightly curved blades in the Elvish fashion) for Desmond, Gustave, Ulric, and Highbough, and the point of Torben's spear is replaced (for 40sp). But the greatest creation that day is a new, subtly curved, viper-esque silvered sword to replace Dieter's oft-dented and nicked hacker. None can see this new blade and not oggle at its deadly beauty. Four diamond-shaped silver bullets are also cast for Dieter (5sp each), as well as eight steel ones.
Josiane purchases for herself a mail hauberk, and has it fitted (rather flatteringly) to her female form. But she need not worry about straying eyes, for Torben--with his daunting, muscular build--is likewise fitted for the much finer Elvish mail. Being constructed for a fit Elvish warrior it is a skin-tight fit on Torben, and leaves very little to the imagination in terms of the rigid slabs of muscle beneath the mail. He is nothing short of DAUNTING. (Torben can wear clothing over the Elvish mail if he wishes).
In addition to his new dagger, Gustave secures four bloated skins of Elvish wine (2sp each) which is as much as he can reasonably carry--assuming he eschew the additional encumbrance of water skins. (If desired better stuff can be purchased from Gallaine's own cellar for 2gp--12sp--per bottle, but bottles are subject to breakage where skins are not).
Noting the short supply of silver, Dorgan inquires as to Gallaine's interest in trading for a richer supply of the precious metal... a reaction check is made; 2d6=7 but Gallaine seems indifferent about the proposition. The Elves of Southwatch, it seems, would be more inclined to secure their own silver from supplies they have elsewhere in their own kingdom. Dorgan is inclined to read it as Elvish foolishness.
Ulric spends the day locked away in study (please choose one spell to unlock from his spell book).
Highbough spends his final studying the Gholem Manual d6=3 and learns that control of the Gholems is not absolute; there is a risk that a gholem will go berserk, but how to incite this behaviour is not clear. He also learns that the gholems are directed by their creators--in the absence of instruction it seems a gholem might stand idle..? It is not clear what language is used to issue these instructions.
Wen spends time laughing and singing with his people, and casts Read Magic upon his two scrolls determining that they are spells of 2d12=7,8 Gazeback and Light.
Armando spends the day in retreat with a final bottle of Elvish wine and a (translated) book of Elvish poetry to pass the time...
Josiane spends the remainder of her day contemplating The Seraphic Communion (the tome acquired from the abbey). She has all five devotions contained therein at her disposal (doctorx, see the PM re: Josiane's re-vamped spellbooks).
Beringar prepares his gear for departure, and between himself and Olaf they take care of packing and securing all the company's stores. All is in readiness for the dawn departure...
