It floats into the gloom toward the door, and as Ulric mimes the action of grasping the door handle, the ghostly apparition does like-wise, wrapping itself about the handle.

Ulric acts out the turning of the handle and pulling the door inward, but the schlemiel seems unable to turn the handle -- the door seems stuck.

A gush of crisp, fresh air washes over the company, especially those at the front. Pelenwin and Highbough are both nearly overcome by the simple joy of clean air -- which they thought they might never breath again.

Beyond the dungeon, the air is still chill and damp from an overnight rain. It is now quiet, still and semi-dark for is it only now pre-dawn...
