Well spotted, I didn't notice that.

I think the simplest solution is to double the spellbook capacity.

So Ulric's spellbook can now contain up to 16 first to third level spells.

Having posted my character sheet, I'm unsure about some of the rules:

-How do chances in six work? Meaning, what's the 'base' chance of succeeding? A fighter may have 4 in 6 to accomplish something physical, but what about if he tries to do some math?

-It says that maximum HD is influenced by Constitution, but how?

-Does the Prime Requisite still influence how much experience one earns?

Most ordinary activities don't require a roll at all. It's only when something is hard, failure has a consequence, and the referee hasn't determined some other ruling that the "general check" die rolls come into play.
Players will normally succeed at these with a roll of 5-6 on a six-sided die. But if they are are especially "good at" something (because it's directly related to either their class, or their background) they will succeed with a roll of 3-6 instead.
There can be exceptions and referee fiat always overrides everything else.

The "general adj." given on the "Adjustments due to Ability Scores" is applicable to maximum number of HD. So, a Man with 14-17 constitution could achieve 9 HD. A Man with 18 constitution could achieve 10 HD. You won't need to worry about that for quite a while yet ;)

No; adjustment to XP earned (under the current house rules) is due to wisdom only. How much is learned from life's lessons versus what is overlooked.

Men have at most 8 HD, Dwarfs have at most 6 HD, Elves have at most 5 HD, and Halflings have at most 4 HD.
The HD limit is modified by constitution score.
What is the CON modification? If a halfling has a CON of 14, does that give him a HD limit of 5 instead of 4?

The "general adj." given on the "Adjustments due to Ability Scores" table is applicable to maximum number of HD.

So, a Halfling with 14-17 constitution could achieve 5 HD. A Halfling with 18 constitution could achieve 6 HD.

After attaining maximum HD, a fighter-type adds 2 hp per additional level. Non-fighter-types add 1 hp per additional level instead.
