You descend into the entry chamber again. There are only four goblin bodies now instead of seven.

The party proceeds to room 4 and looks to see if the pit trap has reset.

If it has, Muhali will drag the goblin bodies over there until the weight sets it off again. He then observes if there's a way to secure the trap so it doesn't go off. Absent that, is there a way to walk around it?

The trap has reset. You drag a goblin body over top ,and down the chute it goes! It takes a good ten minutes to reset. There does not seen a way to stop it from working, but there is a good 2 feet on either side of it to walk around

The party walks around the trap and Aolis listens at the door on the other side. She then checks for traps (e.g. pressure plates, false compartments hiding spears or arrows, small holes near a doorknob).

If she finds nothing, she steps back and Muhali opens the door.

Aolis investigates very carefully, then allows Muhali to open the door into a 20 x 30 room that is empty except for two couches in the room, one across the southern room looking lime green and a bit mouldy, and the other along the east wall, but in red.

First things first. Look up. Anything on the ceiling?

Next, Aolis examines the room, looking for trip wires along the floor or more pit traps. Once she gives the all-clear signal...

Muhali posts Brebert at the door to keep a lookout. Gret and Muhali examine the couches while Aolis looks for secret doors on the walls.

Gret and Muhali will start by looking under the couches, and behind them. Then they move the couches (EDIT: away from the walls to get them out of Aolis' way) and check the cushions.

| I'll make looking up a standard procedure from now on |

The room has a plain 7' high ceiling, same as the corridor. Aolis uses her keen senses to sweep the room for traps and snares and such, but detects none.

You spend the next twenty minutes minutely examing the walls and couches, but come up empty. The couches themselves are a bit mildewed and moldy, but otherwise serviceable. Nothing is found behind the cushions or under the couch

Just as you are finishing up, two creatures, man-sized and wearing chain armor, come around the corner from the corridor, only 30 feet away. You might think they were big goblins, if it wasn't for their heads being that of a bald eagle, and their hands and feet being talons! They are as taken aback as Brebert is, and there is a pause as both sides recover their poise

Brebert raises his mace and exclaims loudly, Hail and well met, travelers. What brings you here?
They are on the other side of the pit trap? We are still in the room?

They are on the other side of the pit trap, about 30 feet away from Brebert, who is in the doorway of the room. Muhali is right behind Brebert, but in the room. Aolis and Gret are in the room and out of sight.
They screech loudly, and charge at you!
