You see an amazing sight - 4 zombies are battling a scorpion, whose sting has no affect on their automated bodies. The scorpion's pincers obviously are effective, as three zombie bodies lie in pieces on the floor

Wiglaff agrees: wait and see what happens, and mop up whatever is left.

If the scorpion is the victor, Wiglaff will color spray it. If zombies, he'll loose an arrow at them from his shortbow.

Eventually, the scorpion succumbs to the zombies. The two remaining zombies start cracking open its shell, looking for brains. The party has one round of surprise available

Grampus quips, "Maybe next time we encounter some Scorpions we can request a heavy metal ballad or two. That is, before we skewer them..."

Franklin plinks one of the zombies with his slingshot!

So the party is on the spiral staircase. I would say four people could take a shot. The front rank would then sort of be stuck in front once it comes to melee. I would guess Wiglaff and Franklin will be second row. What does front row do?

Aldbane will attempt to turn the zombies.
