Does it appear to be a man-made architectural feature, like a fountain or swimming pool, or more of an irregularly-shaped, naturally-occurring puddle? Can Franklin guestimate its depth? Does he see water flowing into or out of the pool, or any clues as to the heat source?

Man-made, very smooth, regular oval. Depth? Maybe 5-10 feet. Water is not flowing, no obvious heat source

Franklin retreats and shares his observations with his friends.

I only had Franklin explore the left side.

Franklin says, "I'm sorry Wiglaff. I got scared before I could explore the whole room."

"I completely understand, Franklin. I'm a little perturbed myself. What do you think, should we continue to explore this boiling room? or perhaps go back to the great hall & explore from there?"

"It probably wouldn't hurt to check for other exits," Rhod says."I'll go have a look."

And Rhod enters the room (sword drawn) and checks for dimensions, any other exits, etc. He stays as far away from the boiling pool as he can.

he discovers a basically 30x50 room with extensions. At the 20 and 40 foot sections on the east and west walls are 20' long passages ending in doors. In the middle of the south wall is a 10' passage ending in a door

Wiglaff opens the south door.

I took a stab at the map, let me know if it needs corrections.
