Wiglaff is on board with the offer.

"Thank you, sir Groth! A pleasure doing business with you. We'll let you know if we find any more of these."

Once the gold is handed over and the party's back outside the mage's room, Wiglaff queries:

"What next, friends?"

Is the door across from Groth's room still making noises? (if I recall correctly, last time we were here there were strange noises coming from behind it)

Franklin uses his racial ability to listen at the door opposite Groth's room.

OK, the door opposite Groth's room was never listened at before. The one with the scratching noises is north of it

There is no noise heard from behind this door

Good news for Maloof!

It has been about an hour, and he gets his level back!

Phew!

Since we're all here, and there's no noise behind it, Wiglaff opens the door across from Groth's place.

I've noted the noisy door on the map. :-)

You see a 40x40 room with no visible exits. There is 10 feet on the south of the door, and 20 feet to the north. The floor of the room is covered in sand

Can we see the floor beneath the sand, or is it completely covered?

If the latter, Wiglaff asks if anyone has a spear to poke into the sand and see how deep it is.

Is there any sign that the floor of this room is lower than the hallway they're standing in?

He doesn't enter the room.

Sconces sniffs suspiciously at the sand.
