Grampus queries, " Why don't we check out the door 10 feet west and 10 feet north?"

Wiglaff goes west down the passage, then turns into the 10-foot passage to the north & listens at the door there.

Franklin steps aside so Grampus (or one of the other fighting-types) can cover Wiglaff at the door.

Grampus steps up to the door, cautiously, with sword in hand and peers inside.

Aldbane waits to the side of the door, ready in case of trouble.

The door opens onto a large room, 50' wide, centered on the door. You can see the extent of its 60 feet length as there are two candles burning with a red light at the north end of the room, flanking a marble altar. A tapestry of some sort is on the far north wall behind the altar

Maloof is interested in the tapestry, and will investigate if the party moves into the room (or even volunteer to go in alone if everyone doesn't want to). Specifically, what deity this room may be dedicated to. Also, how recently the candles were lit.
