"I thank you," Maloof nods to Aldbane and takes the scroll.

Excellent! I'm sure we will visit you soon in order to purchase your goods. In particular, that new spell of yours sounds interesting to me. Thanks for your time!"

Wiglaff, low on funds as he is, is ready to move on whenever the rest of the party is ready.

Vesh says, "I concur with my companion here, I look forward to purchasing some scrolls once I fill my near empty pouch". He then moves back towards his henchmen near the back of the group to his normal position to await the move deeper into the dungeon.

"Sir, any information you can give us about the surrounding areas?"

I see that you may be potential customers once you raise a little more money, so I would be happy to oblige. Do not go into the room just north of here - I keep a manticore in there to sick on anybody that may attack me. Nasty beast, but very effective. The stairs to the lower levels of the dungeon are in the North West corner. Not sure what else is around, nobody seems to bother me. I don't think there is anything a party of your size could not handle"

"Thank you for your guidance, sir! Before we go, do you have any idea what the metal plate in this corridor outside your rooms is?"

"I think the guy who built the dungeon was crazy. That was Gorthaur the second, I believe, about 200 years before my time. I could think of some tactical opportunities, like bouncing a lightning bolt down the hall or something like that"

"Thank you for your help! We'll visit you again when we are ready to make a purchase."

Wiglaff also politely bids the statue adieu.

Suggest we head north up the passage to find & note the stairs to lower levels.

Franklin seconds Wiglaff's suggestion to proceed north. Even if we don't choose to go down just yet, finding the stairs to the next level is valuable information. He keeps a cautious distance from the metal "lightning strip" and is on the lookout for any further anomalies in the floor, walls, or ceiling.
