"Mr Grampus, how rude!" scolds Wiglaff, though quietly. He gestures for everyone to join him in a confab at the end of the room opposite the stairs.

"Now, shall we venture down these stairs, with weapons ready? I don't hear anything, but this valiant hound seems to sense something we can't.

"Or shall we seek another way 'round?"

Vesh readies his daggers loosening in their sheathes so he can pull them out & throw them of needed, then he grips his staff in an easy fighting grip. He is ready when the rest of the party decide to head down to the second level but will be on guard since sconses seems to be on edge.

"What kinds of things make the dog react this way?" Rhod asks."Anything in particular?"

"Let us proceed downwards, with caution."Maloof says quietly.

Aldbane agrees, and readies his hammer.

Grampus gets his sword at hand to be ready for what may come.

At the bottom of the stairs, you see the corpses of the seven dead warriors you killed a few days ago, stinking and rotting

Wiglaff breathes a sigh of relief, then wishes he hadn't. He gags & covers his mouth.
