The scouting party returns to the entrance room & reports their findings.

"It's a bit of a maze. Any direction seems as good as any other. Shall we try the door to the east?"

Grampus thinks the west passage needs to be checked for hollows, doors and cracks.

Franklin says, "Wiglaff, I think our friends need more time to search this room and interact with the statue. Why don't you scout to the east, and I'll scout to the west." Franklin and his dog sneak west (past Grampus) and stand guard at the intersection while the dwarf completes his search.

Vesh says, "If we are to wait until the scouting parties return I and my hirelings will keep a vigil so to make sure the group searching this room is safe. Mona will stand near the eastern passage while Marcowill stand near the western one. That way their will be ample warning if something occurs to the searching parties. I'll keep an eye on the entrance in case someone comes down from above."

Mona and Marco move to their assigned positions while Young Aiden stands near Vesh in the center of the room.

Maloof is curious if the candle can in fact be lit, but he would rather not mess around any longer with a statue of Baphomet and so he leaves it. Instead he investigates the two sculpted columns, starting with the easternmost one.

Just to make sure we are all on the same page, and to help out acodispo, here is an image of the passage that leads west

Sconces whines, and points at the south door

The sculptures look identical, same grey stone as Baphomet. The workmanship is exquisite, the women are quite comely, despite (or because of?) their batwings and small fangs.

Grampus and the dwarves start searching the area in the west passage that looks like it may have something hidden

Franklin tiptoes to the southern door and listens for unusual sounds.
