"Wasn't that stretched being playing cards? I am not liking this room. If one of us picks up the deck of cards will we be trapped here until some criteria of a geas has been met? What do you my fellow comrades think, as this room makes me very wary?", says Vesh.Makofan wrote:After checking and listening, the door is opened onto a 30' square room centered on the door. It is decorated in a red rose pattern all throughout. There is a deck of playing cards on a rose patterned table pushed against the south wall. The rest of the room looks empty and unfurnished
BTW, I am still waiting to know what Grampus does with the two lenses he received from the Deck of Many Things in the previous roomSneakeyPete wrote:Grampus looks over the deck from a few feet off and then prods them with the tip of his sword to see if he can spread them face up without touching them and find out their contents.
As he steps into the room, Wiglaff gets the distinct feeling that the rrom seems 'friendly', if that is possible.acodispo wrote:Wiglaff nods in agreement with Vesh, but moves cautiously across the room & looks at the deck of cards, without touching cards or table.
Is the deck face up or down?
Any distinctive decorations visible on whatever side is up?
Is the deck dealt or cards placed in any way, or is the deck merely sitting in one pile?
Flipping them over with his sword, he fans out a pack of playing cards with beautiful artwork - each card has a different rose on it, depicted as a color miniatureSneakeyPete wrote:Grampus looks over the deck from a few feet off and then prods them with the tip of his sword to see if he can spread them face up without touching them and find out their contents.
The wall goes 30 feet from the door, then in the 40th foot has another door. Along this wall is the following frescomushgnome wrote:Franklin doesn't seem interested in the cards. He keeps watch outside and studies the fresco of the alien skyline. "So pretty, like a magical city of light." He looks to the west if the party's lamp light has revealed another panel of artwork.
