"Thanks, statue!" says Grampus. He waddles south down the hall, ready to kill goblins.

Ignore the doors, or check them out?

Ignore seems to be the consensus.

You proceed south, and walk down a slanted corridor until it runs west. It looks like this corridor should eventually hook up to the west half of the map that you explored. 30 feet along, there are side passages leading north and south

(see updated map thread)

Wiglaff advances and peers around the corner of the north passage, while keeping a wary eye to the south.

The north is a statue niche, holding a statue of a blacksmith with a crippled leg. The south leads 10 feet to a T-junction

"Hello" booms the statue in a VERY loud voice. "I haven't seen an elf in a long time! Usually just goblins"

"Hail, mighty lord! Which direction do these goblins you speak of come from?"

Right behind you. They come around the corner from the right
Every time he speaks, I make a Wandering Monster check as he is so loud

Wiglaff assumes his place in the marching order & readies his ax.

"Let's head down there & end this goblin threat!"
"Right behind you" means from the right-hand (west) passage of the t-junction, is that correct? Or does it mean further down the main corridor to west?
