Once everyone is in position Grampus bangs on the door to summon the three-armed monsters.

Hey all

I am going to introduce the new player this weekend, and then we will get to door opening and mayhem

Just before you open the door, the statue of Hades booms out again.

"Is this a friend of yours? I see an elf approaching!" Sure enough, down the corridor, you see an elf, with plate mail and a wicked two-handed axe, trotting towards you.

"Greetings, mortals, sir dwarf -- and brethren!" cries the elf boldly striding down the passage toward the party. He removes his well-polished helm, setting free midnight locks framing a high brow & distant grey eyes. Then he bows his head slightly to each of the three kindred in turn: human-folk, the dwarf, and his elven brother & sister.

"I am Wiglaf, son of Welthelm. The mage Gorthaur told me you were in this maze & might welcome the aid of an elf warrior. I would join your party, if you'll have me. All I ask is a share of the treasure we win, and the chance to destroy creatures of evil."

His eyes seem to attain some life & interest with this last statement.

Behind Wiglaff walks a short, bald man, wearing a plain tunic & carrying a lit torch.

"This is Edgar, my valet," asserts the elf-warrior.

The dwarf says, "Greetings Wiglaf, I am Grampus. Welcome to our group."

Wiglaff turns to the door Aldbane indicated.

"Straight into the fire, indeed," he mutters, half to himself. He steadies his grip on the two-handed elf-axe.

"I am ready when you are!"

The door is wrenched open from within, and again you see those massive, seven-foot high bear-like humanoids with three arms and three legs, wielding halberds and shield. Before any witticisms can be exclaimed, Catweazle reads off his scroll, and bright, clashing lights spring forward, dazzling all for a few seconds. When your sight recovers, you see three unconscious bear men in a 20 x 30 room. There are chairs, a round table, and 3 sleeping areas. At the table are mugs and some crude dice
